Project Manager (Consultancy)

Job Purpose: The Project Manager will provide support Project lead team. This will include providing technical support in concept notes drafting, proposals drafting, data analysis, ensuring organizational policies and procedures are adhered to, carrying out review work throughout the year (reporting, projects monitoring and evaluation),

Key Responsibilities: The Project manager will be responsible for supporting the country team, contributing to growth and expansion of the portfolio

Working with the country project management team and other funding / resources partners to coordinate implementation of activities and sharing of lessons learned.

· Coordinate all aspects of the project cycle with the partners including effective planning, start-up, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, financial and asset management, reporting, documentation, and closeout.

· Strategic and quality planning, development, and management of the project with adherence to the monitoring system.

· Gather data and supporting materials to prepare Progress Reporting.

· Boost knowledge management, communication, and visibility of the project.

· Attract, build, and manage highly motivated, competent and result oriented staff and leaders for effective delivery in the project.

This is a highly varied and involved role and the above is not an exhaustive list of duties or required professional skills.

Skills and Experience Required:

Essential:

Qualifications in Project Management, data analysis, business management, agriculture, or any related field,

At least three years post qualification experience in a project management, program coordination

  • Good knowledge of international organizations, NGOs programs

  • The person must be ready to travel extensively (at least 30% of time)

  • Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office such as Word and Excel, as well as PM packages & other database competencies.

  • Ability to work under pressure of deadlines.

  • Good organizational and time management skills

  • Effective team member

  • Fluent in French and English Language
